Somatics

Mind-Body Connection

Somatics recognizes the deep connection between the mind and body, viewing them as interconnected systems. It encourages individuals to pay attention to their physical sensations and how they relate to their thoughts and emotions.

What is Somatics?

Somatics focuses on the interplay of the internal physical sensations, perceptions, and experiences of the body. It emphasizes understanding and connecting with the body’s internal signals, promoting greater awareness and well-being.

Internal Perception

Somatics focuses on the body as perceived from within, emphasizing first-person experience rather than external observation. This means paying attention to how the body feels, not just how it looks or moves.

Movement and Awareness

Somatic practices often involve gentle movements and exercises designed to increase awarenes of the body and its sensations. These exercises can help release tension, improve posture, and enhance movement efficiency.
